SPORT RULES
1. All cycling events will be conducted in accordance with U.S.A. Cycling rules, except as modified herein. For a copy of these rules, please visit the website www.usacycling.org or contact: USA Cycling, 210 USA Cycling Point, Suite 100, Colorado Springs, CO 80919-2215, (719) 434-4200.
2. Helmets are mandatory and must conform to USA Cycling regulations.
3. Cyclists must provide their own bicycles and helmets.
4. The City of Mobile Police Department is requiring all recumbent bikes to ride with a safety flag attached to their bike.
ENTRY REGULATIONS
1. Anyone age 50+ by December 31, 2027.
2. Age division is determined by one’s age as of December 31, 2027.
3. Cyclist may only compete in 4 events.
ASO MEDALS
Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place for each style within each age division.
*The 2027 Alabama Senior Olympics is NOT a qualifier for the 2027 National Senior Games. All qualifiers were held in 2026.
DOUBLE MEDALING
The Alabama Senior Olympics (ASO) is an open state and welcomes out-of-state participants. Out-of-state athletes are eligible to medal and do not take away medals from an Alabama resident.
If an out-of-state participant places in the top three of their division, they will receive the medal earned. The ASO will then award medals to the top three Alabama athletes.
