SPORT RULES
1. This tournament will be conducted in accordance with any Local Course rules and USGA rules, except as modified herein. For a copy of these rules, please visit the USGA website www.usga.org or comtact: United States Golf Association, P.O. Box 708, Far Hills, NJ 07931, (908)234-2300
2. USGA and Local rules regarding pace of play will be observed and enforced.
3. Range finders of any type are permitted.
4. Golfers must provide their own clubs.
5. PGA members may compete as long as they are not on the PGA Tour and adhere to the Definition of a Professional Rule I of the Official Sport Rules for 2026.
ENTRY REGULATIONS
1. Golf will include an additional $70.00 fee. (green fee, cart, lunch)
2. Anyone age 50+ by December 31, 2026.
3. Age division is determined by one’s age as of December 31, 2026.
ASO MEDALS
Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place for each style within each age division.
NSGA QUALIFYING
1. All first-place and second-place winners or athletes meeting this sport’s NSGA minimum performance standards in competition at a 2026 NSGA qualifying games will qualify for the 2027 National Senior Games. Qualifiers will be determined by 18-hole gross score.
2. Handicap scores are not acceptable for qualifying.
3. Nine-hole gross scores are permitted only for those 90 and older.
4. For open state qualifiers, Rule H applies.

DOUBLE MEDALING/QUALIFYING
The Alabama Senior Olympics (ASO) is an open state and welcomes out-of-state participants. Out-of-state athletes are eligible to medal and to qualify for the National Senior Games; however, they do not take a qualifying position or medal away from an Alabama resident.
If an out-of-state participant places in the top three of their division, they will receive the medal earned and any qualifying position in accordance with NSGA rules for each sport. The ASO will then award medals to the top three Alabama athletes and qualify Alabama residents according to NSGA qualifying rules for each sport (see Rule H).
SPORT RULES
Tournament will be determined by 18-hole (not two rounds of a 9-hole course) gross score played, scratch competition. Handicap scores are not acceptable. Nine-hole gross scores are permitted only for those 90 and older.
Tees are chosen by slope ratings.
